AD16 TRI-VALLEY OFFICES (East half of Alameda County)

These so-called non-partisan offices are only elected in November.  "Spoke at TVR" solely means that they willingly spoke at the Tri-Valley Republicans Club.  They might not even be Republican.  No candidate requested an endorsement from the Republican Central Committee.

In our polarized environment, party designations help voters know which set of priorities likely drive a specific candidate.   Absent a clear endorsement, we urge voting for Republicans (R) as a means to promote conservative values within local government.

Measures

       - GOVERNMENT ACCOUNTABILITY ACT. Shall the Dublin Municipal Code be amended to prohibit councilmembers and commissioners from accepting gifts from lobbyists and city contractors; prohibit lobbyists from sitting on City commissions; impose a combined term limit of 12 years for the Mayor and/or City Councilmembers, while retaining existing term limits for the current Mayor and City Councilmembers; and require posting of all City contracts on the City’s website for public review?”

Ballot Measure II   - Dublin Traffic Relief, Clean Air/Open Space Preservation. Shall an ordinance be adopted amending the Open Space Initiative of 2014, at no cost to taxpayers, allowing Dublin to accept land donation to connect Dublin Boulevard 1.5 miles east to North Canyons Parkway, including bike lanes, pedestrian access, improved 911 response/traffic flow, and preserve 100 acres of open space while maintaining voter approved housing development restrictions, in exchange for potential limited commercial development on the adjacent 80 acres? [This is NOT a tax measure.  It allows various regulatory agencies to begin deliberations and hearings with public input.  The 100 acres for the road will remain as open space.   An adjacent 80 acres still under private ownership is optioned for the owner to seek commercial (only) development as his source of renumeration for gifting the roadway land to Dublin.   This 1.5-mile section of road with bike lanes will be added to the 100+ miles of roadway already maintained by Dublin. See YES on II web site.]Endorsed by ACGOP on 9/18/2024
