While the national 2020 election radically split the county 50/50, we need to improve our local Alameda County lopsided 20% Registered Republicans to 50% Registered Democrats. The 30% balance of Independents tend to split on the same ratio. For us, that means building a "Farm Team" to recruit conservatives for local offices (School Boards, Water Boards, City Councils, Mayors). From this pool, we can leverage their newfound name recognition into State Legislature. To do this, we need to bump up our local game and voter registration efforts. It is not as sexy or newsworthy as national politics but this specific elected County committee is tasked with focusing upon local elections in Alameda County and candidates for legislative districts here. - Harry Briley, AD16 Chair (1/20/2021)
